The effect on the eyes
The effect on the eyes
Sometimes people who are going through anxiety, depression and other stress related problems might feel as if their eyes are hard to focus. This is normal, although the person going through the stress may feel that there is something wrong with their eyes.
The pupils dilate letting in more light, making you more alert and aware of your surroundings. Some people might experience an odd feeling of unreality as a result. Some people have stated that it is a feeling as if they are not really there. This might be caused by the fight and flight responses and it might give the person the feeling that there is something wrong with their eyes and that it is more serious than what it is.
The feelings will only go on as long as the person is going through their stress. It is not uncommon for people going through stress to feel these effects when they are in a stressful situation.
Once the person is relaxed and settled, they will find that the eyes will focus and these feelings will go away. It is caused by the fight and flight responses, and learning how to control them will also control the nerves that sends the signals for our responses throughout the whole body.
