The effects on the stomach
The effects on the stomach
People who are going through anxiety, depression and other stress related problems might feel the nerves in their stomach. The stomach may have a sudden reduction in digestive juices from saliva resulting in acid and an uncomfortable stomach.
This can result in people changing their
diet in the belief that they are eating the wrong types of food. The person suffering the stress may feel
stomach cramps occasionally. This is a
natural reaction of the body, and there is a need to learn to control the fight
and flight responses.
Some people do not feel stomach cramps. The effects on the stomach will only go on
as long as the person is going through their stress.
Once the person is relaxed and settled,
they will find that their stomach nerves and discomfort will go away. It
is caused by the fight and flight responses, and learning how to control these
will also control the nerves that sends the signals for our responses
throughout the whole body.
