The effects on hands and feet
The effects on hands and feet
When someone is going through anxiety, depression and other stress related problems they may feel a tingling in their hands and feet. This can cause them distress because they are unaware that they are going through the fight and flight responses. The fingers and feet are not getting as much blood. Some people describe the feelings like an electric shock and quite sever. These are the nerves in the fingers and feet. The feelings can come and go depending how high the stress levels are.
Sometimes a person going through high stress may get white finger. The blood goes from the fingers or feet. The person going through these problems may believe it to be a circulation problem when it is the fight and flight response. The blood goes from the surface of the skin in case of wounding.
Some
people have no problems, and they do not feel their nerves.
They are only felt by the individual.
These feelings will only go on as long as the person is going through
their stress.
