The Edinburgh International Film Festival's 60th Birthday Party
The Edinburgh International Film Festival, the longest continually running film festival in the world, celebrated its 60th year of the festival with a star studded party hosted by festival patron Sir Sean Connery at the National Gallery in Edinburgh.
The film festival started in 1947, the Edinburgh International Film Festival is one of the true homes of innovative and exciting cinema. For over half a century, the festival has presented some of the cinema's most important and exciting moments and played host to the world's greatest filmmakers.
The longest continually running film festival in the world, it has come a long way from its birth in the wake of world war two. Its spirit was and is bold and its focus international. The Edinburgh International Film Festival has long been a champion of British films.
