Stifled Forever
Stifled Forever
Some people live from day to day,
hiding opinions too frightened to say.
Their unspoken truths are dying inside,
stifled forever by mountains of pride.
The laws were written with innocent blood,
by evil men who survived the flood.
As the good of the land lay starving and dying,
mothers held children to stop them from crying.
Some people live from year to year,
trapped within the hands of fear.
With many feelings still unknown,
who knows if they will ever be shown.
Some people live from life to death,
without enjoying one single breath.
They climb up the hill, but it's all in vain,
as they stumble back down to the ground again.
Some people live from day to day,
hiding opinions to frightened to say.
Their unspoken truths are dying inside,
stifled forever by mountains of pride.
