Labour is in Trouble
The last year for our Labour government has been a bit of a disaster, and I don't put it all down to the Prime Minister.
This is the longest that a Labour government has been in power. They are already on their third term and they are hoping for a forth term if they can convince the electorate they are the party to run the country.
This is the way politics has been going since 1979 when the Conservative Party came into office and didn't lose power until 1997 - and that's a long time in British politics. No wonder the British electorate were sick of them by the time they left.
In the elections before that, a party would get in for four years or five years and if they were lucky they got another term, but they didn't get third and forth terms and the right to go on forevermore before 1979.
Labours problems are down to the amount of time they have been in office and what they are doing for the people of this country, and just now they want more taxes and more money too spend.
Unfortunately Labour has gone along with pre 1997 Conservative Party policies instead of changing them, and these policies have finally caught up with them. They were bad policies then and they are bad policies now.
What type of government taxes the poorest in our society for more money? Our government did and then they panicked, but by that time it was far too late for anything to be done about it. The damage had already been done - unfortunately for some it still continues with higher taxes and taxes that they didn't pay before even though the government stated it had sorted it all out.
Our government needs to tax the super rich and those who really can afford it instead of always hammering the poor. They need to tax them hard if taxes are going too be fair for all. Those with telephone salary numbers and bonuses are getting more than their fair share in this country.
We have a government that got in a socialist ticket, but they've not done an awful lot of socialist things since they got into power. That started when Labour became New Labour, that's when they wanted to portray themselves as being like the Conservative Party. They maybe took it little bit far when took on the Conservatives policies also.
I don't think anyone in Britain believes Labour will win another term in office, yet we all have too sit and watch them disintegrate in front of us for another two years without being able to do anything about it. It's not good for the electorate who are screaming out for an election, and it's not good for our country which must come before any lame duck political party who have messed up and continue to do so.
Our country needs an election even if its just there to show that the people of this country still have faith in this government.
It's time for our politicians to start representing the people of this country through the use of the ballot box more. And if they can't do that it's time for a mechanism to be put in place by parliament so that the people of this country can.
