The Fringe’s famous Half Price Hut opens today (Wednesday, 11th August) with a host of great deals. The opening comes the day after the successful 2-day two-for-one offer reflecting the Fringe’s commitment to continually provide great value for Fringe audiences.
Kath M Mainland, Chief Executive of the Festival Fringe Society, said, “The Half Price Hut has become a Fringe institution and provides a valuable service for festival goers looking to experience the Fringe and also to performers looking to spread the word about their shows. These half-price offers on top of the 585 free shows ensure that this year's Fringe programme is offering audiences great value for money."
From 10am on the Mound, the Half Price Hut will be offering cut-price tickets for events right across the Fringe. Tickets must be bought in person from The Hut in advance of the shows. The list of shows changes daily.
Every evening from 5.30pm, tickets for shows starting before 2pm the next day go on sale. Shows starting after 2pm are available from 10am on the same day.
The best way to keep up to date with the activities in the HHalf Price Hut is to use the official Edinburgh Festival Fringe iPhone application. Available from the apple iPhone App Store, ticket notifications will be available through a live feed. The application also offers automatic navigation, listings, reviews and the ability to search for shows and venues by name time and category. To find out more about the iPhone app visit:

The Scottish Cafe at the Mound opposite the Half Price Hut is serving a wide range of drinks and refreshments so ticket-buyers can take a seat, grab a snack and watch as the ticket offers become available.
The Half Price Hut is open daily from August 11 - 30, 10:00 - 21:00, and is located at the Mound Precinct (click here for map).
