Three-fifths of the 2008 Academy Award® shortlist for Best Cinematography will be represented on this stage. (McGarvey was nominated for Atonement; Deakins for both The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and No Country for Old Men.) McGarvey’s work encompasses the likes of The Hours, World Trade Centre and High Fidelity; Deakins shot The Shawshank Redemption, Kundun, The Big Lebowski and Fargo, to name but a few.
